Santa Is Coming

Santa is coming tonight and I am so excited. I will never grow up, I love the spirit of Christmas.
It is one of the most wonderful times of the year; spending treasured moments with your loved ones and making lasting memories. I really enjoy thinking back to when I was a little girl at Christmas time. My mother reminded me that I used to get so excited I would be shaking. I have some marvelous memories and now enjoy with my own children very much. Christmas is so magical in my heart.
I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Creative New Year.
I hope Santa will bring you lots of art supplies, only if you have not been naughty. Or you know what will be in your stocking ? A big black piece of coal . LOL
Enjoy your special day.

Better To Give Than Receive

Did you ever try to imagine when you were young laying awake Christmas Eve? What Santa's helpers looked like? It would take forever for me to fall off to sleep dreaming of Santa. Now that I am an adult, this is my vision of Santa little helpers. I want to share with you; I still lay awake Christmas Eve so excited. I will never grow up and lose my little girl heart.
These art paper dolls I created with tonight are from Catherine Moore's 2009 stamp collection. My favorite to create with Character Constructions. Be ready Catherine has a new stamp collection, being released for sale January 2010, you can see the new clear stamps on her blog. These new stamps are on my must have stamp list, oh yes.
I hope all your Christmas dreams come true.

Lingering Dreams

What a great way to spend time on a Sunday, creating art. This Art Paper Doll was so much fun to figure out and put together. I tried to make her very colorful and funky. I love using the flowering eye, from Teesha Moore's stamp collection. It is so unique and different. There are endless possibilities using this stamp in your art work. When I had completed this paper doll tonight, I showed her to my teenage son. He said that is just crazy and I said to myself that works for me. I love my families thoughts about my art work, it always gives me a big smile.
Happy creating.

The Window To The Soul

Finally I was able to sit at my desk and create. It feels like a second chance has been given to me, a new beginning. I am not all better yet but getting there. I am getting my strength back slowly, I might try going for my daily walk tomorrow, maybe? Anyways I am glad to be back creating, I have missed it so much. This Art Paper Doll I have created tonight and had so much fun. The doll parts are my favorite Character Constructions by talented Catherine Moore. I tried to challenge myself to use some new colors on the face and body. I used earth tones and a silver blue color. I was never fond of earth tones before, never say never.
Keep Well and happy creating.

Away for awhile

I will not be posting on my blog for awhile, unfortunately. I was surprised to learn from my doctor today, I somehow have come down with the H1N1 Flu Virius. I need to get lots of bed rest and drink fluids.I will get well and be back soon.
I will miss posting and creating art. I must stay in bed for a one week.
Happy Creating and keep well.

Everyone takes a turn

It is Monday morning and a little cold here. I have been away for a few days and come home very sick again. It seems almost everyone you come in contact with has a cough or a running nose these days.
I am off to the Doctor's this afternoon, so I am sure my Doctor will get me all fixed up. My Outlook Express e-mail is not letting receive my mail, my husband is going to see if he can get it working later tonight? My yahoo e-mail is working, so go figure? I will not be posting to my blog for a little bit, till I am feeling a lot better.
Keep well and happy creating. I will back before you know it.

She Scatters Kindness

I like the dream there is a little fairy, that scatters kindness. Maybe she will visit you next ?
So make a wish and this flower fairy will come your way soon. This is creative me, I recently started wearing eye glasses. I can't see the little details in my art work without them, they called it long arm syndrome.LOL Really just say it, I am getting older........
I had a great time creating this art paper doll tonight, one of my favorite things to do. I get lost in time and love every moment using my imagination.
Enjoy your day.

In Vivid Color

Copper, purple and teal what a color combination. This art paper doll I created tonight has some different elements. I really enjoy sitting down at my desk and putting on some great music. I was listening to the Rockin Tourists, just wonderful.
Then I start to create and wonder where do these ideas come from ? Don't you love using your imagination, it feels magical.
Happy Creating.

Tree Spirit

This is a picture I took of the Tree Spirit in the front yard of our house. He is so cool to peek out at and see everyday.
I thought it would be interesting to including this photo in a art piece, in some creative way? I hope you can come up with a creative idea to use my Tree Spirit. I love the idea of Tree Spirit's watching over us and keeping us safe.
Enjoy.

Beauteous Object

When you are a Beauteous Object, what more needs to be said. LOL
I wanted to mention yesterday's post "The World In Silent" was inspired by the world's news.
Positive thoughts.

The World In Silent

This is a smaller sized journal page I created today, it is totally Zetti style elements. I used watercolor crayons for a different background, on a watercolor paper surface. Watercolor crayons are really unique to create with. If you have not played around with them, they are very easy to use.
Teesha Moore's style journal pages are just full of "no rules",which is my favorite. You never know what your theme will be in the completion of your page. I always sit back and take a good look at what I have created. I always feel it is in the eye of the beholder of the page, what the true meaning is to them. Each persons state of mind reflects the true meaning of Zetti art. I would like to tell you my theme but that would change your opinion of this journal page. It has to be what you see and that is the magic of art.
Happy Creating.

Halloween Rocks

Green cat eyes
In midnight gloom
Fly with the witch
On her ragged broom

I love creating Halloween themed art work,it is so magical. This art paper doll I created is a little different with a purple pumpkin head instead of an orange one. What a Funky Pumpkin Diva she is with a beehive for a skirt, kitty cat stocking and boots that rock ! The main paper doll parts are from Character Constructions newest collection, the beehive stamp is awesome. I really enjoyed coloring and creating this Halloween art paper doll.
Happy Halloween!

Stop By For A Spell

How to meet a witch. First, put your clothes on inside out. Then walk backwards to where two roads meet. If you wait until midnight, you will see a witch.
I really enjoy creating Halloween related art work. This Art Paper Doll body is from Character Constructions, I add a few extras to make her more "witchy".
Halloween is coming soon.

Melusine Threatre

The mermaid is one of the most bewitching creatures of the legend, with the beautiful face, golden hair and torso of a women set above a fish's tail. Mermaids longed to win the love of a mortal man for only through such a union could they gain an immortal soul.

I truly enjoy Mythical creatures and adding them to my art work. I am hooked on these tiny paper threatre, there are such endless possibilities creating with them. You can use a lot of your imagination planning what will be on the stage, it's show time.

Happy creating.

Vampire Laura

It is the month of October and Halloween is coming !!
My daughter Brit found this really fun computer program last night. She gave me a Vampire makeover, to one of my photo's of myself. She changed my eye color, added very dark eyeliner and gave me blood red lips. Spooky !!! My new profile picture, I look like a vampire for the month of October.
I promise not to bite anyone. haha
Happy creating.

Night Flowers

The moon looks upon many night flowers, the night flowers see but the moon.
This little theatre is from Teesha Moore's stamp collection and all the rest of the stamps are from Catherine Moore's stamp collection. The little flower pot is from a scrapbook sheet, everything is colored with watercolor pencils.
The moon face is one of my favorite's to use in my art work.
Happy Creating and enjoy your day.

The sun is trying to come out, it has been rainy here. I can't believe it is suppose to snow this week. Where does the time go.

I ordered from the newest stamp collection, The Bird & Bee Paperie. I am excited new Art Paper Dolls to create, my favorite. The new collection is just fabulous, so full of imagination .

When I Return To Paris

This little Parisian Drama Queen is off to the theatre and doesn't have time for any one's nonsense. Girlfriend has it going on, she is a shining star. LOL
All the doll parts are from Catherine Moore's Character Constructions. The clear rubber stamp plates are so much fun to mix and match to create and make your own.
I love these colors together; a teal and chocolate brown combination. I truly enjoyed creating this little vintage lady.
Let them eat cake !!!

I Want the Twilight and You

This is a Journal collage page, I created. I love using the word "Twilight".
It sounds so very "mysterious", don't you think.
I am off to the Norfolk County Fair, it is a beautiful day.
I am looking forward to a hot cup of Apple Cider.
Happy Creating.

Big Chunk of Wax

This is a big chunk of scented multi colored candle wax, I purchased at a yard sale. At the time of the purchase the seller said it was beeswax. I thought this is cheap and beeswax ? So I was doubtful but brought it home anyways. It is really heavy piece, it weights about 5o pounds.
I am not a candle maker but maybe I will display this wax piece as modern art. LOL
I learned a good lesson, trust in yourself. I knew this could not be beeswax but it is pretty.
I was thinking maybe there is another artful use for this scented wax, any ideas you can share?
Happy Creating.

A Little Nonsense

It is a cold and rainy night here in Ontario. A good night to sit at your desk and create.
This Art Paper Doll is a combination of Character Constructions and Invoke Arts stamps.
The skirt is just something I added, for a more funky fashion"Diva" look. I had to scan her this way because she is a very big Art Paper Doll.
I think this quote fits this Funky Gal and her flying kitty friend. The little cat is called Potter from Character Constructions, I am a cat lover. You will notice a lot of my art, I will sneak a little kitty cat in somewhere. A little piece of what I love in my art, makes it that much more special to create.
Happy Tuesday.

Little Darlings

Here is an old photo, I wanted to share with you. I found this great photo on my antique treasure hunt. I looked close at the little girls eyes and they look like sisters to me?
I think the the two taller girls are twins, they are dressed the same.( not identical twins)
I wonder what their names were, I love old vintage photo's. So much unknown history, they are a mystery untold. Maybe someday a person in the future will hold an old photo of my sister and myself in their hands. They might be full of questions of our life history too.
The friendship and love of a sister is so special. I enjoyed growing up with an older sister.
My sister and I still make some cherished memories, now that we are older.
I hope you can use this sweet old photo in your art work, I love their dresses too.
Happy Creating.

Laura Jane

Lime green, flowers and stripes are so much fun. This is Laura Jane from Character Constructions by Catherine Moore. It is so much fun mixing and matching the different stamp plates from Character Construction doll parts.
I am such a daydreamer so this quote worked well, to add to this Art Paper Doll I created.
Enjoy your day.

She Makes Today Count

Birds, Paris, butterflies and fashion is what I added to create this journal page. What a dream some day to walk the streets of Paris, can you imagination ? I love the episode where Carrie Bradshaw from the Sexy in the city series, lives her dream. Except she steps in a big horse patty in the streets of Paris, making Carrie's dream moment come true. LOL
I used napkins, watercolor paints, gesso,a vintage image and gel medium to create this page. I tried to make the fashion Diva look vintage, with dull colors. I think this journal page makes a statement for all of us artists, who love creating art.
Make every day count.

Handmade Art

I have not had a lot of extra time, for creating art lately. I took some time last night to create this Art Paper Doll. I got the idea to make her stocking a brick pattern because she has a house on her head. LOL. I truly enjoy letting my imagination run away, when creating any art piece.
That is the magic of art in my opinion and why I love it so very much.
The main doll part are from my favorite, Catherine Moore's Character Constructions.
Happy Tuesday.

I was away this previous weekend and this is a picture my daughter Brit had taken of us. It was the most beautiful fall day, here in Ontario. The tree in the background is outside my back door, I love the color it becomes this time of year.
Happy Creating.

Encaustic Collage Weekend Getaway

I wanted to share my weekend away with my very dear friend, Heather Robinson.
The both us attended a Encaustic Collage weekend class. We left last Friday and returned on the Sunday night. The amazing teacher that offered the class was Andrea Bird. I learned so much from Andrea and I would strongly recommend this "fabulous" class. I loved beeswax's before but now just crazy over Encaustic meduim. The class was just a nice size, not too many students. We loved the Southhampton Art School, really a pleasure. These are all the art piece's I created while taking Andrea's class. I have never had such fun, loved every moment. I was scared of the blow torch at first but quickly got over that fear. Heather and I made the best memories. I will cherish every "awesome" moment together. I had to pinch myself, I had such a marvelous time.
