I See the Moon

I really enjoy adding different wings to my Art Paper Dolls, it just changes the creative feeling of your art piece. They give a very whimsical image and I think gives that finishing touch.
This Art Paper doll stamped image is from Character Construction created by talented Catherine Moore.
I used watercolor pencils and my dove blender pen. She was fun to create, I can never guess the theme of each paper doll. It is always a total surprise to me, that is the magic of art.

The Linnet

Linnets have a very sweet low song, but when they call to each other the sound is rather like someone playing a banjo. I love the soft colors of this picture.

Look for the Dream

This dreamy tulip lady image is colored with water color pencils and a dove blender pen.The surface is is my favorite on hand cereal box. The background is patterned paper of your choice. Then add gel medium and floral napkins. The quote is from Quietfire Designs, I just received this stamp in the snail mail yesterday. The time piece's gave me the creative idea she is a time traveller, looking for her destiny. Do you believe in destiny?

I was admiring the flowers in my garden and listening to the birds singing today. This gave me the inspiration to create this 4x4 card. It is fun to imagine tiny faeries dancing in the garden. Maybe look close in your garden to see a tiny fairy, dancing to her own music.

The Mirror of the Mind

When I look at this elegant lady she reminds me of Audrey Hepburn, a tiny bit. Such a timeless beauty, I love the movie "My Fair lady".
These Journal pages are so wonderful to create, I really enjoy creating a collage effect.
I added the little envelope, it makes you wonder "is she hiding a secret"? Maybe a love letter from her past. I like the Journal page to tell a story or send a message.
I used paper napkins, gel medium and lots of ink to paper technique.
The quote stamp is from Quietfire Designs, Suzanne Cannon is such a sweetie. I dream of owning all Suzanne's quote stamps. That is an awesome dream, don't you think?
The sun is shining, it is a brand new day with no mistakes.

If you have not created an Art Paper doll, you should give it a try. I like coming up with a different theme for each paper doll. This is Ms. Teal , this is one of my favorite colors to work with. I like this lovely teal shade, it stands out show much. These images are from Catherine Moore's Character Construction Stamp Collection.
So maybe try something new and create a Art Paper Doll. I never get bored creating with these images, they inspire me just looking at them. I first saw Catherine Moore in 1999, in the Stampers Sampler magazine. I instantly was so taken with Paper Doll Art and so talented Catherine Moore. I think why these images really appealed to me, they are so out of the box. No rules and straight lines. You can make them as funky and unique as your mood feels in that creative moment. Let the "Magic" begin".
Enjoy your day.

So Groovy

"So Groovy" was the inspiration for this Art Paper Doll. I wanted to make her funky to match her cool shoes. I enjoy doing the eyes, I love long eye lashes. I like doing their make up, that comes from my years working for Estee Lauder . I like to add different elements, so you say what is that ? Yes it is a pink flamigo bird on her wings. LOL Her shoes are just priceless, real lady back breaker shoe's.. She really has it going on "girlfriend".
I used a collage sheet purchased from "talented" Sharon Tomlinson. The head, arms, legs and shoes are from the collage sheet. The rest are bits and piece's I have added.
I used my watercolor pencil crayons and dove blender pen. I always use cat eye inks, to make the colors more brilliant. I have changed all the colors of the collage sheet, with my pencil crayons. I thought hot pink was her color, matched her look. Thanks to Sharon for her creative collage sheet, I enjoy creating, this funky little girl so much.
I think she "Rocks".

Each of us has a song to sing

Here is another Journal page, I just completed. I started by adding paper napkins with gel medium to my paper. My paper is glued on to a cut out cereal box, the best surface.
I really enjoy using gel medium with the paper napkins, gives a very soft look to your background. I colored my image with watercolor crayons and used a dove blender pen.
I like using little cat eyes inks to add more color and balance the colors in my art piece.
The word quote is from Quietfire Designs, I love using Suzanne's rubber stamps.
This Journal page reminds me of spring, no more snow. Now the birds are singing and making their nests.

Blog Party Day

The day has arrive, it is "Blog Party Day".
This is such much fun and great way to meet new friends.
Let all go and join in the fun. It is a Party, see you there.

Dancing on Gossamer Wings

Create, dream and inspire is what comes to my mind when I think of creating a new art project.

Here's a couple of pages from a Gothic Arch Altered book I made. I really like the image of this sweet little girl, so cute. Her arms are out and she is dancing on Gossamer wings. She looks like she doesn't have a care in the world. She takes you back to your childhood when life was just all about having fun.

I really enjoy using these colors, turquoise, brown and purple. You would not think they match but they blend together very nice. Using a flourish stamp gives your page such a whimsical feeling along the edge of the page. When I create each page I pick a theme and go from there. Then the entire book has a theme, that pulls it all together . This book theme was using wings.

Maybe today you can daydream about your childhood, memories that bring a smile to your face.
