A Fairy Story

Twins share such a special bond. I always thought it would be so amazing to have been a twin. The idea of sharing a secret language and feeling so connected to someone is fascinating. I thought these twin girls, were so precious together. This is the first tag of a set I am creating. I used an old postcard image, I found on a treasure hunt at our local Antigue Market.
I purchased tags from Blanca at:
The stained tags have a fragrance of coffee and vanilla, the scent smells so delicious. I really like the vintage look of these homemade tags.
Happy creating.

Sunday Donkey Ride

This vintage photo looks to me like everyone has their Sunday best on and this gentlemen is going for his daily donkey ride. I really enjoyed all the different hats in this old photo and the little boy in the front is so adorable. I am not sure if the tent in the background,is where somebody lived maybe? This is a very interesting photo, I like looking at all the details in the background. I wish these old photo could talk to us, about their history . Then they could share their stories and who families these people belonged too "etc".
Enjoy just for you.

Crazy Diamond

Creating and using your imagination, is what art is all about to me. I enjoyed creating this Art Paper Doll, very much. This is a large version of a Matchbox Doll, next time I will use the large match sticks instead of these smaller ones. I think that would suit the box size better and give more balance to this art piece. All the doll parts and decorative paper is from Character Constructions.
Happy creating.

Dream Today

What is more fun than hot pink hair and a bird house on your head. This Art Paper Doll is from Character Constructions created by Catherine Moore newest stamp collection. It is called the Bird & Bee Paperie, I just love it. Some of the other doll parts I used are from Catherine's other stamp collections, which match beautifully with the newest clear stamps. I enjoyed using hot pink and cranberry together. This combination of colors, adds a real punch of bright "happy" color to your art work.

A Pencil In My Hand

I have not pick up an art pencil , in such a long time. So finally made the time to draw, it is a start. I will keep at it and get better in time. I really like to draw faces, the eyes are the biggest challenge. It is to achieve expression, the eyes are the mirrors to the soul.
Positive thoughts.

Flowers for Nancy

I always try to challenge myself to use different color combinations, I was trying to achieve a soft sepia look. I enjoy pinks and lime green shades of color,I feel they compliment each other so well. The doll parts are from Character Constructions, the Catherine Moore Collection. I love these so adorable "curley toed shoes", they work with all doll parts. They add an element of whimsy, to your art paper doll.
Have a nice day.

Fly Away

This is an Art Paper Doll from Character Constructions, the Catherine Moore Collection. I just love these corset dolls, that Catherine created. There are four corsets in the stamp collection, they are my favorite of all my stamps. I enjoy mixing and matching the different doll parts with these corsets. I am really glad now a days we don't as a rule, wear corsets everyday. I know some ladies still do, they are just "nasty" uncomfortable. I did wear one under my wedding dress, on my wedding day. I do truly love looking at all the different pretty style's of corsets, so lovely. They are so vintage and lady like.
Happy Creating.

Going Zetti

Here is my trio of Zetti cards, for Marion's Zetti ATC Exchange.
Visit Marion's Blog:
The middle ATC is the the last one for you to see completed. The theme of this card is "Just Words and bold colors". I had a great time adding all these loud colors and statements of words.
Here is your request, my pleasure to share how I created the background for the Enchanted Souls card. I started with a surface of watercolor paper, it is a nice stiff surface to work on. Next glued a patterned paper onto the watercolor paper and add ink color to the paper in different areas. Then I used a piece of cheese cloth and colored it with purple ink. Now use your brush to cover the entire card surface with gel medium and add the stretched cheese cloth. Press the cheesecloth into the gel medium and make small tearing in the cheese cloth. Then stamp your words and cut them out. Color your words with watercolor pencils and ink edges I used a collage sheet and colored the cat person image with my watercolor pencils and more ink to paper. I found this wonderful metal photo slide at an antique store, there was only one. I hope to find more of these silver photo slides. Anyways add "first" wild plum and then denim alcohol inks with a cotton bag to the metal slide, in different area's of your metal slide. We our almost done, glue your image to the card. Then glue your metal photo slide over your image, showing the face. Lastly glue words onto the metal slide, use a pop dot to raise up the end of the word "Enchanted". Almost lastly, forgot. LOL Punch a hole and add your metal spinner. Finally add same color of alcohol inks to the metal spinner. Can you guess why I added the metal spinner, a hint to do with "destiny" ?
I don't think I forgot anything, let me know if you have any questions. I am so pleased you like this card. It is my favorite too, I love the cat human face "really cool".
I hope to get these ATC cards in the snail mail tomorrow, they have a long way to travel "destination "Germany".
Soon in very "Talented" Marion's artful creative hands.
Happy Creating.

Art Invokes Mystery #2

I was not happy with my finished cards, for the Zetti swap. The scan of your picture helps see, what your art works needs to be completed. I changed all my ATC's, now you can see the birds body.
I am a true women, who does change her mind. LOL.
Have a nice day.

Art Invokes Mystery

Here is my second ATC for Marion's Zetti Exchange, I have made some changes since scanning this card. It is helpful when you scan your art because all the little details show up "clearer". You can see if there is something you want to improve. I like his lips, wish they were mine.

All Dressed up

I found this old postcard at our local Antique Market, the other day. You wish picture's could talk and tell their story. Notice in the top row, somebody is blocked out.
Maybe they had passed on or not very popular perhaps ??? hmmm Then what caught my eye first, was the little boys feet. I think they forgot to wash their feet for this all dressed up photo. I thought maybe it is the Mom that is missing in the photo, to look after them. I really enjoyed the way the one little boy is holding onto maybe his sister foot, so darling.
I wanted to share this old postcard with you, lots of endless possibilities using this in your art creating.
Enjoy your day.
