A Poem That Doesn't Rhyme

If I create from the heart, nearly everything works ; if from the head almost nothing.
This art paper doll has a story, that not everything has to have a meaning. Sometimes it is just art. I enjoy adding vintage lace and finding it is a bonus on a antique treasure hunt. The doll parts are from Character Constructions "Mannequin Cafe". It is a bit of a challenge to read her story but that is what makes it interesting.
Happy Creating.

~she felt as carefree as the wind... she could have flown...but she did not.

~she held his love ...and she could have told him...but she did not.

~she had sonnets at her fingertips ...she could have written...but she did not.

~she was joyous and could have laughed...but she did not.

Your art, for art's sake~be it mind or heart driven...still evokes emotion...
Just a poem without rhyme.

Lovely art doll.

I really like this one Laura. I just noticed that you have 96 followers, yeah!!! Good for you. We started our blogs right around the same time and look at you, leaving me in the dust. I'm truly glad for you and glad that you are on the Character Construction DT.

I want to see that envelope I sent you, when you get time can you please scan for me???

I also have a question for you. I've noticed that probably the good majority of all your art dolls have what looks like a lavendar/pinkish colored base, why is that? Do you always start on the same paper or something? Use the same inks? Just curious my dear. They are all amazing however, that's for sure.

Hugs to my friend the Amazing Art Doll Creator.

She is full of answers this one or questions depending.I understand what she says but not sure I agree that the poem does not rhyme-to the right ears I think it does.

I don't know where you get your ideas or how your mind works, but I love it. It's so free. Great job Laura.

This art doll is amazing- makes me want to create one, I love how all her parts have other parts with them; the extra eye, hand, heart- I think the fact that "Her life as a poem doesn't ryhme" is so neat and what makes her extra special!
