Positive Aura

What is an Aura ? I have been reading about them, very fascinating and real. The aura is the result of the energy we radiate from our feelings, thoughts, and physical being. It can be seen as a bubble of light and colour surrounding our body. My imagination is thinking these twin art dolls have a positive aura surrounding them. Have you ever felt like creating something just "out of the box" different? Today I challenged myself to try something new and this was the end result of my efforts. These are the mirror twin Artful Fairies, they share the magic of art.
Happy Creating.

Laughing The Sun Looks Down From Above

Alice walked to the March Hare's house where an odd group were having a Tea -Party. There was a table set out under a tree in front of the house and the March-Hare and the Hatter were having tea at it.
I love the idea of a tea party. I would have the table set all pretty with fancy tea cups of course. Delightful cranberry lemon scones and flavored teas. "oh what fun"
The inspiration for this art paper doll came from my thoughts of Alice in Wonderland. I thought it would be fun to make a set of four tea cup art dolls with all different themes?I will have to get busy and make that happen. The doll parts head, legs, arms are from Character Constructions art stamps. It will not be long now till the release of the movie Alice in Wonderland with Johnny Depp .
Well I think it is tea time said the Hatter...
Happy creating.

She Channels Inner Warhol

All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no -mind, from inner stillness.
I got up early this morning and sat at my art desk while watching the movie Marie Antoinette. This movie is so artful ,the costumes gave me inspiration for colors used for this art doll I created. In the movie I love the pink hair, totally cool shoes and frou-frou dresses Kirsten Dunst is styling in this top favorite movie. My dolls parts are from Character Constructions and don't you love these striped legs.
Imagine this is the ill-fated child princess who married King Louis XVI.
Such scandal ..... "Let them eat cake!"

It Looks Like Rain

Without rain there would be no rainbow.
Mother nature is giving us a rainy day here today. My wish is that the rain washes away all the last of the snow and ice.
I have been dreaming of spring time and this art paper doll I created reminds me of spring.
I enjoy all the flowers in the garden coming to life again and everything looks so green.
The inspiration of this Character Constructions art paper doll came from, when I was a little girl. I loved to run in jump in all the small puddles after it had rained and when the sun came out. Then maybe a surprise of a beautiful rainbow would magically appear, to put a smile on my tiny face.
We should all go jump in a puddle, for old time sake. lol
Enjoy your day and live for now........ Thank you to Marilyn Rock.

The Eggs Are Blue

Here is my Art Paper Doll for this month's challenge at Inkurable Stampers
This is a really fun art theme for this month, go check out their awesome blog...

Time is endless.
When I was creating this art paper doll tonight, my imagination said she has two faces. She has her human face and her clock face. The clock face of time and her face is of peace.

The eggs are a little blue in the nest on her head and I thought that was a fun quote to add. She is styling men's boots and they fit her perfectly. I love boots, they always complete a fashion diva's look . The doll parts are from Character Constructions art stamps created by the "Amazing" Catherine Moore.
Enjoy your creating.

She Flew Up To The Moon

I always enjoy a night with a clear sky and looking out my window at the moon.
This art paper doll I created is from Character Constructions new art stamp collection, "The Mannequin Cafe".
I like these vivid colors together red and hot pink used on the dress form. They give a bright contast of color to your art work, very cheery colors. I think the little tea pot is so cute and nothing better than a hot cup of tea at the end of the day. Or even better a tea party to begin your day, like in Alice in Wonderland. LOL
I am counting the days till the new Alice in Wonderland movie is released, it looks so awesome.
Have a great day......

I love these little ballet slippers, they look so dainty on her feet. I used the ballet tutu and created a little funky dress. The doll parts are from Character Constructions "Mannequin Cafe".

My Heart Has A Window

The days are still so cold and I am dreaming of spring.
I really enjoy coloring the faces of art paper dolls. There is a good reason why ? Before I was married I worked for Estee Lauder at Holt Renfrew as a Beauty Advisor. My other passion is make up.
I came up with the idea of having a cake on top of this art paper dolls head, it is kinda fun.
The doll parts are from Character Constructions new art stamps collection Mannequin Cafe. I tried to use shades of light colors to make the dress form stand out. Thank you to Catherine Moore for creating these awesome new stamps to play with. They are such fun to mix and match. To create funky paper dolls.
Happy Creating.

Sweet Peas In A Row

I am having the most fabulous time creating art paper dolls with Catherine Moore's new art stamp collection"The Mannequin Cafe". Can't you just hear these words in a beautiful southern voice "sweet peas in a row". I have no idea why those words suited this doll theme except maybe the shade of green she is wearing perhaps? LOL The spinner on the poodle will help give direction in their life and yes it was fun to add. This gal really has her own unique style and it is good to be different. Always stay true to yourself and let your imagination soar.........
Happy creating.

Mannequin Cafe

Creating art work is such a magical feeling and is so good for your soul.
I am excited posting this art paper doll tonight. She is from Character Constructions sweet new collection of art stamps. The Mannequin Cafe is a marriage of Catherine Moore's love of all things french, facination with macarons and Paris patitisseries and of course mannequins and fashion.
When I create my art dolls, this one for example. I use watercolor pencil crayons along with a dove blender pen. I like to ink around my image edges with matching ink color. I mention my coloring technique because you were curious to know. I was asked awhile back to share this technique information. It is always so wonderful to have new stamps to create with. The first time is so special, I can use my different CC stamp plates over and over again. I love coming up with new paper doll theme's. This funky fairy is spreading her fairy dust of happiness.
The new Mannequin Cafe paper doll collection "Rocks"
Happy Creating.

Big Dream

The art challenge is to make something your own and different.
I just received these striped legs a few days ago in the snail mail, they are so wild.(I just love them) The big bows on the tops of the legs, they are so funky. I just adore stripes this year added to my art work. All the above doll parts are from the Catherine Moore "awesome" Character Constructions art stamp collections. What I enjoy about the clear stamp collection. When you are starting to get your creative ideas because the stamp are clear. Your can over lap them before you stamp them out to see the size and if those dolls parts will fit together well. All the doll parts worked together, to create different themed art paper dolls. You can count on all your art paper doll creations being so unique. I never get bored it is like getting a new set of stamps to play with each time you create. I used this really cool locket face stamp for this paper doll. I want something really "out of the box" and this face gives this look for sure. I hope you go to bed and have big dreams of creating art paper dolls. This is a sweet dream !!!!
Happy creating......

Time's Secret

"Time passes even when it seems impossible."

I have always admired vintage pocket watches. I created this art paper doll tonight with the idea that she is apart of time. I have added the words I love paper dolls because I truly do.
